Children's Rainbow Fund grew out of years of working directly with children and families — and seeing both what children need and what modern childhood is increasingly missing.
This organization did not start with a strategic plan. It started with rooms full of children — classes, camps, events, play days — and the pattern that showed up in all of them.
Children lit up over the simplest things: materials, movement, attention, other kids, time that wasn't scheduled to death. And again and again, the families who would have benefited most were the ones who couldn't get through the door.
So the work changed shape. First scholarships. Then essentials for families who needed them. Then festivals, pop-ups, maker sessions, and eventually the idea that a town should simply have a Happy Place — somewhere childhood is welcome by design.
What began as local work became a larger mission: protect childhood, strengthen families, and build happier communities that any city can replicate.

Children's Rainbow Fund was founded after more than a decade of hands-on work with children and families — teaching, programming, organizing events and running community spaces. The organization is intentionally bigger than any one person: a board, a volunteer corps and dozens of partners carry the work.
